Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the wild west in an awesome game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the casino, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers wager with other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players do not have to worry about other, more knowledgeable players winning their moolla.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the fairly leisurely game play, beginners will be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make quick selections.

It is also simpler to wager on for a very long time with only a small amount of money after all, to lose, each of your hands must be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the croupier is dealt seven cards face down.

A five card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
