Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tips
August 23rd, 2018 by Gemma

Online poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer declares "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players receive five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with an amount in accordance with the initial bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out money even with your original bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
