Terrible Luck in Poker

For a match where most enthusiasts rarely consider good luck, there are tons of superstitions in poker. When you say that someone was lucky in that poker tournament they won, be careful of how you mention it. For example, if you say that you were unlucky, your luck may not change.

Ok, that may sound a bit ubsurd, but poker is a game armed with folklores. Did you know that if you are betting a game with 2 different decks and you are asked to pick the deck, you should always pick the deck of cards that’s the furthest away from you? Or, what If you get a streak of bad cards, you have to hang out on a hankerchief to break your poor luck? It’s certainly considered good fortune to blow through a pack of cards when they are being randomized.

Some other fascinating poker superstitions are:

  • You might be able to change the run of cards by passing around your chair 3 times.
  • The luckiest spot at the poker table looks at the entry.
  • The unluckiest seat has its rear to a fireplace.
  • When altering spots, you really should constantly do so clockwise.
  • The worst poker card is the 4 of clubs.
  • It’s most unfortunate to cross your legs when sitting at the poker table.
  • Sun is a horrible day for gambling on cards.
  • The 13th is also a bad day, regardless of when it falls during the week.
